As just noted, Scabby Terrain tracts were identified and mapped at an early time in the VCGI mapping process in the Connecticut Basin. These represent en masse stagnation caused by “Disconnections” associated with the cut off of ice supply at cols and thus reflective of ice/terrain Glacial Dynamic relationships. Also, Scabby Terrain tracts mapped in deep mountain valleys on the eastern flank of the Green Mountain front range, associated with penetrating water along proglacial standing water margins of Lake Winooski likewise represent a Glacial Dynamic.
